Position Summary
The Department of East Asian Languages & Cultures at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Korean Literature and Cultural Studies for the academic year 2022-2023.
We welcome applications from scholars working in the Humanities who study Korean literature and culture, broadly conceived, and with expertise in the contemporary period.
The successful candidate will be able to teach 4 undergraduate courses including “Korean Popular Culture” and “Modern Korean Literature.”
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures is committed to hiring candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service. The position will begin on August 1, 2022.

Candidates are requested to submit the following: Curriculum Vitae, sample syllabi for the two courses mentioned above, diversity statement and contact information for three (3) references to provide letters of recommendation.
Basic Qualifications
The candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 1, 2022
