The Asia Research Institute (ARI) at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, invites proposals for panel presentations at its second annual conference, Climate Change: Social, Economic and Business Implications for Asia, April 26-27, 2024. The primary objective of this conference is to examine the impacts and complex interactions of climate change on (1) public health, (2) social challenges, (3) economic conditions, and (4) business activity for people across Asia.
We seek contributions from researchers of all disciplines and stages that incorporate state-of-the-art knowledge in various facets of climate change and/or examine innovative and proactive solutions for mitigation and response.
Panelists must be present at the conference in person. ARI will provide local hotel accommodations and meals during the conference to all participants whose proposals are accepted.
Panel presentations should be approximately 15 minutes. Each panel will be accompanied by a featured keynote speaker and followed by Q&A and discussion.
For this conference, the Asia Research Institute seeks submissions from researchers of all disciplines and stages. Presenters must be present at the conference in person, although we plan to livestream the conference.

To submit a proposal, please fill out the Airtable form. You will be asked to upload an abstract of 250 words or less. Submission deadline is Monday, January 22, 2024.
