Korean Studies Frankfurt is pleased to announce our 3rd Summer School titled Korea’s Political Landscape: From Seoul to Pyongyang to be held online via Zoom from August 4 to August 8, 10:00 – 14:00 German local time (CEST/UTC+2). The program is designed to inspire university students in Europe and beyond to explore the latest developments in North and South Korean politics. A total of 10 lectures from very renowned experts in the field awaits you.

The speakers will share their insights on a variety of topics, including Korean political parties, South Korea’s democratization, and North Korea’s foreign policy. You will also gain valuable knowledge on how South Korea’s right-wing movement has evolved, how political administrations in South Korea deal with socio-economic inequality, which mechanisms North Korea uses to legitimize its regime, the role of North and South Korea in international politics and so much more.

The summer school is free of charge and will be held online in English, giving participants from all over the world the opportunity to engage in lively discussions with the speakers and other attendees. After attending all 10 lectures, students will receive a certificate for their successful participation. We welcome undergraduate and graduate students from all fields of study with an interest in Korean politics to attend and be part of this exciting experience.
