You are warmly invited to an afternoon of dialogue centred on the lived experiences of North Korean defectors who resettled in the UK between 1980 and 2024.
Through personal testimonies, an open Q&A, and a concluding documentary screening, this event explores what it means to (re)build a life in exile, and how experiences of trauma, surveillance, and displacement shape the ways individuals negotiate a sense of self in a new society.
Open to students, staff, and members of the public.
